Service Booking Title for Mobile Appointments

The Service booking title setting controls how new service appointment titles are pre-filled, helping teams keep appointment naming consistent across booking channels. Using one shared title template reduces manual editing and keeps web and mobile bookings aligned.

When a Service booking title is configured in Services Global Settings, new service bookings created in the mobile app use that title automatically in the Appointment Title field.

If the Service booking title is empty or not configured, the mobile app falls back to <Contact Name> so existing booking behavior continues without interruption.

This setting applies to new service bookings created in the mobile app.

Notifications

Notifications keep both your team and your customers updated about appointment activity. You can configure different types of notifications, decide who receives them, and customize their content to fit your needs.

Notification Types

There are six main notification types available:

  1. Appointment Booked (Unconfirmed Status): Sent immediately when an appointment is booked with the Unconfirmed status.

  2. Appointment Booked (Confirmed Status): Sent immediately when an appointment is booked with the Confirmed status or when an existing appointment is updated to Confirmed.

  3. Cancellation Email: Sent when an appointment is canceled, marked as a no-show, or deemed invalid.

  4. Reschedule Email: Sent when the appointment date or time is changed.

  5. Reminder Email: Sent before the appointment at the time you specify (e.g., 1 day or 1 hour before).

  6. Follow-Up Email: Sent after the appointment based on your configured timing (e.g., immediately after, or 1 day later).

Delivery Channels

Notifications can be delivered via:

Third-Party Calendar Settings

Third-party calendar settings let you control how your service appointments integrate with external calendars such as Google, Outlook or iCloud. These settings help ensure that attendees receive accurate invitations and updates directly in their calendars.

Tip: Use Appointment Notes to include key details your attendees should see at a glance in their calendar events.

Services setup and booking behavior continue to improve across staff availability, linked calendar visibility, and booking-page usability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s the advantage of using Global Settings instead of editing each service?

Global Settings applies defaults across all services, so you can update booking, payment, and scheduling behavior from one place.

Q: When should I use Global Settings versus editing an individual service?

Use Global Settings for defaults you want across services (booking page behavior, payments, notifications, scheduling windows). Edit a specific service for its own details like price/duration, variations, assigned staff/resources, or add‑ons.

Q: Do direct links for specific services or staff reflect changes made in Global Settings?

Yes. Service, staff, and category share links are filtered views of the same booking experience, so updates to Global Settings (layout, forms, payments, notifications) apply automatically.

Q: How can I preview how the booking page looks after updating Global Settings?

Use the booking page preview for the service to verify before sharing links. Previewing lets you confirm that global changes render as expected on the public booking page.
